Yesterday I've started my new blog about Linux games, titled "Linux Gaming News" :
http://lgn.linux-hardcore.com/

This blog is about usually in development games that will have a Linux client OR have good chances of having a Linux client.

As a tribute to AOD and deep respect to the developers I've started my news with AOD.

So enjoy the blog !

Hello people !

I am happy to inform you that this blog is moved to new servers under the Linux-Hardcore domain !

Why ?
About a day ago my old friend Rich from Linux-Hardcore watched my new gaming blog – he was so exited that he asked offered me to host this blog at his domain.

Why it’s good for you ?
Under the new domain a wiki could (and will) be added.
Under the new domain the Linux-Hardcore Gaming forums are available
The WordPress (the software that I use for my blog) is much more customizable now, and I have much more themes, space and control over the blog.

My NEW Blog By the very same name “Linux Gaming News” is now located here :

http://lgn.linux-hardcore.com

LGN Stands for Linux Gaming News, I could off course right it all – but I suspect this will be too much Wink

Well, I was in a hurry because it was 1A.M and I needed some sleep.
Now I "perfected" the theme and I hope you like it. (maybe I should make a poll Wink).

Good luck with the project!

Quote from: About Section
In most other websites you hear the same known games all the time over and over again once a new version comes up – most Linux users already familier with those games, I want to try and talk about games that are not so well known and games that are in development or even games that *might* have a Linux client.
That's a very sensible approach. Indeed, many Linux websites report every minor version of some engine, and ignore commercial closed-source releases or lesser known games. This makes them pretty much pointless to read from gamer's perspective. News should raise people's awareness and change something.

The major problem with closed-source and commercial games is not that they are closed source, at least not for me ... the problem with PUBLISHING.
They develop a game, sometimes even a very good game - but none knows about it.
They don't take the efforts to publish their games in the Linux communities.
And that's were we come - the Linux gaming news bringers.
We do their job for them, but sometimes it comes too late for them.

The free/open source games however publish their games, sometimes even every minor release because they want their developing team to grow by attracting more players to their games.

I cannot say for sure how many closed-source games have we missed because none knew about them.
But we are trying our best - I take them when they still young and in development Wink

I don't really think it's necessary to bump the thread every time you update. After all, anyone interested will just keep your blog bookmarked and check it every so often.

I disagree with you .... from experience.

Every time I post a message about news on the blog many people come to visit it, but at days I do not make news of the updates I have much less visits.

BTW I have a new update about cRPG game that I think you all know and waiting for..

Eschalon: Book II – Old School cRPG : http://lgn.linux-hardcore.com/eschalon-book-ii-old-school-crpg/

I wouldn't bump this thread every time you update your blog, but I'd say go for it whenever there's an update that's somewhat related to this forum's common interest (which seems to be RPGs Wink ).

Any chance you could offer screenshots that can be magnified rather than small images?

Good work sticking with it and providing so much content on a regular basis.
